Second, Third … um … Twelfth … er … Twentieth … lots of seedlings

Nature does have a mind of its own. After the first basil seedling emerged yesterday, 12 days early, I went to check on the little guy today to make sure he was still okay.

Um, yeah.

Not only is little Red (first photo below) doing fabulously — an inch tall with his first leaves ready to sprout — but I found 23 – 23! – of his friends of various varieties, equally eager to show their stuff.

Um, “14-21 days to germination” my arse.
