Hi there!
I’m so grateful that you find such value in my content that you want to share it. Thank you!
I work very hard to bring you delicious, well-tested recipes, photographing them with thought and care so that you know what the recipe will look like when it’s ready (and also so that you’ll enjoy browsing the site — purty pictures are always nice to look at 😀 ). I approach this task with all seriousness and soul-felt love, and I continually practice my craft to make this site a pleasant and inviting place to spend time.
I’m sure you completely understand that I need to protect my work so that it remains my own. When sharing content from this site, please keep the following in mind:
- Feel free to share a link to my content on social media. I have easy-to-use social sharing buttons set up on every recipe page for that very purpose, or you may, of course, use any browser extension that you might have installed. Such sharing not only helps promote my site (thank you!), but I’m almost always notified of the share and, well, it just makes my day when you decide that something you’ve seen here is worth telling your friends about. {Happy dance!}
- If you’re fellow Food Blogger (hi! {waves}) planning a recipe round-up, and found a recipe here that fits your post, I would be delighted to be included. You may use one photo from this site in your post and also in a collage for social media promotion, as well as a small selection of my written copy, if needed (the summary at the top of the post, for example), as long as you credit the photo to “SoupAddict.com” and provide link back to my post — which of course you already plan to do, because Food Bloggers are awesome, and we love and support each other! Also, if you want to drop me a note after you’ve published your post, I’d be happy to share it on social media.
- If you’re representing a news, magazine, lifestyle, or other media site, and you’re planning a recipe round-up for which one of my recipes is a good fit, I’d be honored to be included. You may use one photo from this site in your article, and also in a collage for social media promotion, as well as a small selection of my written copy, if needed (the summary at the top of each post would be a good suggestion). Credit the photo to “SoupAddict.com” and link directly to my post. Please do not reprint my recipe on your site without contacting me first.
- If you’re a food blogger and would like to use one of my recipes on your own site, please note the following. You should not duplicate any of my copy or use any of my photos to represent your post (and that includes social media sharing of your post). Write your post in your own words, and use your own photographs of the food you create — show the world your own brand of awesome! Recipe ingredient lists cannot be copyrighted under law, however, recipe instructions, recipe notes, and summaries *are* and they’re protected the second I hit Publish. I take those copyrights very seriously. Rewrite the recipe instructions and other details in your own words. You should also credit “SoupAddict.com” with a link back to my post. (If you’re new to this, you would add a note at the end of your recipe card saying something like, “Recipe adapted from SoupAddict.com” or “Recipe inspired by SoupAddict.com“).
- Other uses of my recipes, photographs, copy, and research require permission. Please contact me so we can discuss.
Thank you, again, for your readership. It’s much appreciated!
Karen xo
